Resident Evil: The Board Game

Resident Evil: The Board Game (2023) brings the sinister Spencer Mansion to the tabletop in a terrifying open world campaign. Based on the 2002 remake of the original Resident Evil video game, this is a cooperative survival horror board game for 1-4 players.

Built on the survival horror engine of the previous two board games, Resident Evil: The Board Game introduces a slew of new and updated mechanics to keep players on their toes. It is a campaign game playable over 30 hours, where every decision counts and has far-reaching consequences.

Every resource must be managed, every bullet counted. Fighting is not the only way to survive, as players will have to decide when to attack and when to flee. The tension and encounter decks will change, adding mysterious new cards and altering the effects of previous cards to make them even more dangerous. Tension cards can change enemy behaviour at any moment, making them even more lethal from one turn to the next.

To progress, players must solve ingenious puzzles to unlock doors, build the mansion map as they explore, and send non-player characters on valuable missions. Setup is swift because each scenario begins with just a few tiles. As players explore and open doors, they'll build out the map, opening new pathways and discovering useful items... and deadly enemies.

Players can step into the boots of Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield, Rebecca Chambers, or Barry Burton to search for secrets and survivors in an open world crawling with enemies. They can navigate 19 spine-tingling scenarios filled with horrifying surprises and fiendish puzzles, making choices that matter and could even change the course of their campaign. Alternatively, they can play each scenario as a terrifying standalone experience.

Inspired by the 2002 remake of Capcom's genre-defining survival horror video game, Resident Evil: The Board Game takes players back to where it all began. As the danger level rises around them, they must manage every resource and count every bullet to survive the horrors of the Spencer Mansion.
